As winter is nearing a close, music fanatics across the country are anticipating the months where they can don sunglasses, hats, and shorts and head out to music festivals. Whether it is Coachella, Sasquatch, or many more, nothing beats the excitement of being with thousands of other like-minded people in one place.
South by Southwest (stylized as SXSW), a festival that takes place in Austin, TX, is quite possibly the largest and most-attended event. Blending music, film, and other interactive events together over the span of nine days (March 7-16), SXSW serves as the holy grail for pop culture nerds.
Consider yourself lucky if you have already snagged a badge and a hotel room for the festival. But if you’re like me and are going to be tracking the event via Twitter and other sources, I’ve compiled a SXSW playlist. It features artists from the whole musical spectrum, from big names like Kendrick Lamar, to small but mighty acts like Jay Arner. Just turn it on and imagine you’re there, going from tent to tent, and maybe catching a glimpse of your favorite celebrity.
